Your first visit
At Smile Team Orthodontics we are always excited about meeting new clients. The first appointment you will have with us here will consist of a thorough examination and a discussion of potential treatment options. This important 45-minute visit will give us insight into your orthodontic needs.
What happens
- at your first visit?
At your first appointment, our orthodontist will usually take diagnostic records. These include digital x-rays and photos. These are all necessary for developing the appropriate treatment plan for you.
While we can often answer general questions about treatment during the initial examination, we will address specific areas after careful analysis of these diagnostic records. We feel it is important to analyse each patient's specific needs because in-depth planning leads to superior results and higher patient satisfaction.
Moving forward with treatment
We do our best to provide a custom treatment plan for you by the end of your first appointment - so you can decide if you would like to start treatment. We will give you time to discuss treatment options, time frames and financial arrangements so you can feel confident in your decision.
If your smile is not quite ready for treatment, as is the case with some children, we can check in on you every six months until everyone decides the time is right.
