Dr Joe Geenty

Dr Joe Geenty has been the longest running Smile Team specialist orthodontist with 40 years of being a key player in our team. His first step into the dental world was in 1975 when he graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Otago University in New Zealand. Since then, his career has gone from strength to strength.

Dr Henry Ho

Specialist Orthodontist

Dr Henry Ho is another wonderful Specialist Orthodontist, here at Smile Team Orthodontics. He started his orthodontic journey at the University of Otago in New Zealand, where he completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery, before working at a private general practice in Auckland.

Dr Peter Hoang

Dr Hoang is a passionate Specialist Orthodontist, with two favourite aspects of his job. The first being the transformational quality that orthodontic treatment can have and seeing people’s reactions when they see the results of the process.

Dr Emmanuel Chan

Dr Emmanuel is one of the amazing Specialist Orthodontists at our Parramatta and Fairy Meadow clinics. For him, it’s all about the orthodontist-patient relationship. Being able to make a significant and positive change in someone’s life and building a relationship with the client over the course of treatment is a huge reason why he comes to work everyday with a smile on his face.

Dr Conroy Chow

Dr Conroy’s interest in orthodontics was piqued during his own smile journey. When he completed his braces treatment, Dr Conroy knew he wanted to help other people achieve their dream smiles.

Dr Matthew Wong

Dr Matthew Wong attained his Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science with Class I Honours and Graduate Diploma of Dentistry from Griffith University. He graduated first in his cohort for all 5 years of his dental degree, attaining the prestigious University Medal, Australian Society of Orthodontics Prize, Australian Dental Association Prize, and Head of School Nomination.

Dr Yasi Gu

Specialist Orthodontist

BDSc (Melbourne), DClinDent Ortho (Sydney)
Dr. Yasi grew up in Sydney before moving to Melbourne to study Dentistry where she graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours. Dr. Yasi then had the opportunity to work as a dental officer at the Sydney Dental Hospital, and various private practices around Sydney. After working as a dentist for 7 years, Dr. Yasi decided to pursue her passion for orthodontics.

Dr Jenny Doan

Dr Jenny's journey to becoming a Smile Team Orthodontist is rooted in her own transformative experience with orthodontic treatment, which significantly shaped her into the happier and more confident person she is today.

Dr Lam Cheng

Specialist Orthodontist

BDSc Hons (UQ), BDent St (UQ), MDSc Hons (USyd), Morth RCSed, MRACDS (Ortho)
Dr. Lam Cheng grew up in Brisbane and earned her Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours Class I from the University of Queensland. She gained experience working in both the public and private sectors in Brisbane and the Gold Coast before pursuing her first research degree, a Bachelor of Dental Studies, also from the University of Queensland. Her research focused on caries susceptibility in patients with cleft lip and palate undergoing orthodontic treatment, sparking her passion for orthodontics. This led her to further her expertise with postgraduate training in Orthodontics at the University of Sydney, where she graduated with a Master of Dental Science (Orthodontics) with Honours.

Christine

Oral health therapist

Born and raised in Sydney, Christine graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health from the University of Sydney in 2015. It was clear early on that she had chosen the right professional path as she was awarded an Academic Scholarship, and then went on to receive the University of Sydney Academic Merits prize award in 2013.

Beyza

Oral health therapist

Beyza graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Oral Health (hygiene & therapy) in 2020. Since then, she has been thriving to further her experience and knowledge in her career.

Adriana Johnson

Oral health therapist

Adriana became a part of the dental industry in 2009. Beginning her career as a dental assistant, Adriana decided to further her studies at the University of Newcastle. Adriana graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy with Distinction and was awarded the Kathleen Cusack memorial award for her achievements.

Kiara O’Brien

Oral health therapist

Kiara is a highly skilled Oral Health Therapist who focuses on providing high-quality clinical work. Kiara graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Oral Health in 2011 and has since worked at a number of high-end private dental practices in Sydney, before realising her passion for orthodontics.

Cassie Whelan

Oral health therapist

Cassie has been in the dental industry for over 20 years. She studied at Sydney University, where obtained her bachelor’s degree in oral health in 2007 receiving "The Golden Scaler" award for demonstrating remarkable skill and talent over the duration of the course. Since then, she has worked as a dental hygienist with a passion for orthodontics.

Rita

Oral health therapist

Rita graduated from The University of Sydney, where she obtained her Bachelor of Oral Health in 2022. Since then, she has strived to provide the best dental care to all her patients.
